Computer Scientist - openMCT Lead

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. The Computer Scientist - openMCT Lead will direct software and systems engineering services, identify potential risks, and ensure system stability to meet test goals.

Responsibilities

Expert proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for front-end development
Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development practices
Experience with Angular JS (1.x) and/or other component-based frameworks
Experience with plugin-based architecture and modular software design
Expert with REST APIs, Websockets, and real-time data integration
Ability to work with time -series/telemetry data and build data visualizations
Strong debugging skills using browser developer tools and testing frameworks
Proficiency with Git and open-source collaboration workflows
Ability to write clear documentation and communicate effectively in a team environment
Knowledge of aerospace/mission control telemetry concepts

Required

The incumbent must have a bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and at least 4 years of related experience or have a master's degree in an associated discipline and at least 2 years of experience, or a PhD in an associated discipline
Incumbent must possess effective oral and written communication skills
Must have experience with computer based systems and applications
Must have programming skills in languages used for job specific programming tasks
Familiarization with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniques
Applicant must have experience with systems engineering and software development lifecycles
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen
