Valiant Integrated Services has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Analyst supporting the Undersea Warfighting Development Center (UWDC) in Groton, CT. The role involves providing expert technical guidance for the STRATA program and conducting studies to assess undersea warfighting objectives and requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide expert technical guidance and recommendations for executing the STRATA program
Conduct studies and report findings based on results from at-sea tactical development exercises that assess undersea warfighting objectives, goals, and requirements
Coordinate development and justification of tactical development objectives, plans, schedules, and support requirements
Recommend improvements in submarine equipment, operations, sensing, operator and crew readiness training, tactics evolution, and data collection
Liaise between warfighting and technical communities
Work full-time at UWDC Groton CT
Travel approximately 5-10 occasions per year to CONUS and OCONUS locations
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Submarine operations expertiseActive TS/SCI clearanceMicrosoft Office proficiencyProject management skillsTechnical briefing skillsData analysisClassified data security knowledgeEffective communication

Required

Bachelor's Degree, advanced degree preferred, in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Active TS/SCI clearance
Expertise in submarine operations, training, tactics, and current/future mission sets
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications suite
Able to prepare and submit written documents supporting analysis with recommendations for courses of action
Ability to review, analyze, and compile a variety of data to produce reports and briefings internally and external to the command
Knowledge and ability to work independently and manage several projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively with Navy Senior Leadership
Knowledge of government security requirements for classified data, including proper marking and protection for classified data
High skill and tact in oral and written communications, including preparing and briefing technical material to large and/or senior audiences
Ability to record notes and transcribe meeting minutes into action items
Ability to obtain and maintain a passport and driver's license
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees
