Bay de Noc Community College is seeking a Laboratory Specialist for their Mechatronics and Robotics Systems program. The primary responsibility of this part-time, grant-funded position is to provide lab support assistance, including maintaining labs and equipment, supporting faculty, and assisting with student success initiatives.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining Mechatronics labs (400, 400A, 400C, and 402E), lab equipment, servers, and workstations

Actively support student success by assisting Mechatronics faculty with labs and classroom support (open lab, equipment operation, technology assistance, etc.)

Assist in lab maintenance and equipment recommendations or selection of vendors to fix or return failed components

Assist in the organization and maintenance of lab inventory and tools (6S practices)

Perform special projects assigned by the Mechatronics faculty (building, designing, programming, 3D Printing, etc.) support equipment and fixtures for the lab or classroom

Provide information related to career exploration at the direction of the Mechatronics faculty

Assist in maintaining positive relationships with employers and advisory board members
