Responsibilities
Partner with sales, product management and customers to architect and author requirements for new payment products
Design payment hardware solutions based on market scope and requirements, from concept to mass production, in partnership with Product Management
Lead Elo cross functional teams through Payment technologies: EMV, PCI-PTS, Security Design
Manage new product introduction and scale to high volume manufacturing with design partners
Create and maintain vendor specifications and documentation for external product builds
Conduct necessary QA, L1, prelaunch testing and review results with cross-functional groups to ensure the performance specifications are met
Identify engineering issues, troubleshoot, and resolve to closure in a timely fashion to support project needs
Draft reports and present results to educate and inform engineers, management, and partners
Support customers and sales for new and existing products
Design & review schematics and PCBA layouts
ECO/ECR creation and tracking
Willingness and ability to travel, including internationally, as needed (~4 times per year)
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 6 years of payment and/or hardware experience
BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution
Preferred
At least 5-years of experience and expertise with payment hardware
Experience with Android devices preferably also GMS/CTS
Familiar with EMVCo L1 and L2 certifications
Experience designing products with integrated payment: EMV Contact and Contactless, MSR
PCI-PTS: Secure Payment MCU, Tamper Proof Design (Mesh, Temp, Zebra, etc.)
NFC Antenna Design experience a plus
Experience with certifications test tool: FIME EVAL, UL Collis Brand Test Tool, ICCSolutions
5G/LTE/4G Cellular Design Experience a plus
Experience in graphics/display systems
Experience working with international manufacturing partners
Experience developing mobile devices (handhelds and tablets) a plus
