The role involves assisting the Bridge Inspection Team Leaders in conducting inspections, performing structural analyses of bridges, and documenting bridge conditions with attention to detail and quality work.

Responsibilities
Assisting bridge inspection Team Leaders to perform inspections in the field
Structural analyses of bridges to determine the capacity
Entry of data into bridge inspection software and Microsoft Word/Excel/Access; development of structural drawings using CADD, and the compilation of reports and other documents
Qualification
Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document bridge conditions in required format, along with appropriately referenced photographs in a clear and concise manner
Must be focused on providing quality work
Working knowledge of relevant structural concepts of bridges and other highway structures
Experienced in common computer applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Access), experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred
Bachelor or master's degree in Civil Engineering
0-3 years of experience
Driver's license with ability to drive work van/truck
Must physically be able to perform field inspection work, e.g., carry/climb ladders, wade in streams, work around traffic, work at heights, etc
This job requires prolonged periods of sitting at a computer
Lifting up to 50lbs is required
Preferred
Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred
