Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead 3D highway/roadway design components associated with transportation improvement projects, locally administered transportation projects, and highway and bridges projects for a variety of clients including PennDOT, private developers, DRPA, DelDOT, and local municipalities and agencies in the Philadelphia metropolitan area
The candidate should have a firm grasp of geometric design, grading and stormwater management, traffic control, signing and the ability to learn new concepts
The candidate will work with a team of engineers to design new highways and streets as well as rehabilitation of existing highways and streets
Qualification
Required
4+ years relevant experience
EIT certification and willingness to take the PE exam ASAP
MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Experience. Bentley InRoads
Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus
Experience with plan production and assembly a plus
The candidate should have a firm grasp of geometric design, grading and stormwater management, traffic control, signing and the ability to learn new concepts
An understanding of AASHTO and PennDOT design standards, quantity calculations, cost estimations, and plan creation is beneficial but not required
Preferred
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
Having the ability to work in a Team Environment is key
