Responsibilities
Oversee internal aspects of the fundraising, marketing, and community relations efforts of Black Mountain Home
Ensure the success of the Every Day Fund campaign and other fundraising initiatives
Provide leadership to internal members of the development team
Create and optimize departmental processes to provide excellent donor stewardship and retention
Responsible for Every Day Fund renewal and acquisition mailings, including two major direct mail appeals, emails, and printed materials
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of five years of experience in professional fundraising environment, including supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of donor databases (Raiser's Edge preferred), including IRS guidelines and best practices for gift receipts, tracking, and reporting
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to achieve results in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Schedule flexibility and ability to work occasional nights and weekends, including representing ministry at churches, businesses, civic organizations, and other
