Bilingual On-site Unaccompanied Children (UC) Case Manager ($4K Sign-On)
Global Refuge is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving newcomers seeking safety and support. The Unaccompanied Children (UC) Case Manager will provide casework and supportive services to children in foster care, including comprehensive case management, home visits, and communication with family members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Ensure that all assigned youth on your caseload and under your supervision receive mandatory services while in care to include but not limited to mental health, medical, recreational, educational, and other supportive services in accordance with the time and documentation expectations of the program
Develop and complete assessments, service and treatment plans, progress notes, incident reports, and any other necessary documentation in a timely manner
Create a trusting and safe relationship with the client and encourage the personal growth of the client
Maintain accurate and current information on children in care, while ensuring program's internal documentation practices and reporting requirements are met
Actively participate in weekly staff meetings with the clinical team and stakeholders
Attend, facilitate, and assist with providing ongoing education and support services to foster parents
Attend weekly meetings with supervisor to consult on cases, review case plans and direction, and evaluate client participation and progress
Schedule office, in-home and/or offsite meetings with assigned foster parents and children on a bi-weekly basis to address any concerns in service delivery
Maintain effective communication with community agencies or individuals involved in service provision
Attend internal and external training and apply newly gained knowledge in providing services
Attend and prepare for required court hearings (if applicable)
Transport youth to appointments and unifications as needed
Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to service provision
Knowledge of and adherence to federal, state, program, and agency regulations
Be able to work independently within the field
Communicate effectively with supervisor, administrators, and all stakeholders
Participate in the on-call rotation, which includes working after hours and weekends
Complete other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Family Studies, required
Fluency in Spanish, required
Active motor vehicle license, clean driving record, and a reliable automobile with adequate insurance coverage
Ability to pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries
Commitment to Global Refuge's core mission and values and an ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners
Preferred
Master's degree in Social Work or counseling; licensure in the state of Maryland (LMSW / LCP), strongly preferred
Experience in child welfare/case management, strongly preferred
Prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations, strongly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication, group leadership skills, public speaking and clinical and persuasive writing skills
