Dental Sterilization Tech 1

Responsibilities
Maintains responsibility for the daily operations of sterilization areas at dental practices
Ensures instruments are properly cleaned and sterilized
Maintains adequate instrument quantities for daily operational support
Follows established infection control policies and procedures
Monitors, cleans and organizes the sterilization equipment and general areas
Completes all required logs
Maintains and orders inventory for sterilization equipment, instruments, lab supplies and monitors the performance of sterilization equipment, recommending repairs and replacements as needed
Collects data for quality improvement and attends infection control meetings
Disseminates information as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent required
1 year experience as a Dental Assistant or in an Operating Room environment preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and computer experience preferred
