Responsibilities

Maintain and support Windows and Linux systems across on-premises, AWS, and Azure infrastructures
Optimize and troubleshoot both cloud-based and on-prem resources to ensure high performance and reliability
Administer Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, ensuring consistent availability and top-tier user experience
Oversee resource utilization, subscription management, and cost monitoring for Azure and AWS platforms
Build, deploy, and monitor cloud resources using automation tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, and ARM templates
Partner with Software Engineering to design and support robust application architectures using Azure-native tools (Functions, Logic Apps, Event Hub, Service Bus, API Gateway, Key Vault)
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and leadership to refine solutions and encourage technology adoption
Design, implement, and administer SQL databases across on-premises and cloud environments, maintaining clear and complete documentation
Proactively monitor database health and performance, setting automated alerts for thresholds
Ensure high availability, scalability, and security for all database platforms
Perform routine database administration, including daily checks, backups, log reviews, security, and performance tuning
Manage backup processes, test disaster recovery strategies, and maintain high availability
Enforce and implement security, compliance, and governance standards throughout multi-cloud ecosystems
Liaise with vendors and technology partners driving initiatives and successful project outcomes
Stay updated with emerging trends in cloud technology and security practices to enhance overall environment stability and security
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure critical systems remain available

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of hands-on management and optimization of on premise and cloud resources, with experience administering hybrid and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
2+ years utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation with tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
2+ years of SQL Server database administration, including installation, upgrades, security, performance tuning, high availability, job automation, and data migration (on-premises to Azure)
Demonstrated experience automating processes with PowerShell, Azure CLI, SQL tools, Azure DevOps, ARM templates, or Terraform
Hands-on with deploying and maintaining Windows and Linux servers, including configuration and troubleshooting
Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and SQL monitoring tools
Working knowledge of system/software deployment processes, version control, and change
Skilled in backup, disaster recovery, and security compliance, with knowledge of Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and IAM practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels in the organization
Strong organizational and efficiency skills
Solid understanding of Azure subscription architecture, resource management, and Azure cost management

Preferred

Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, etc.) are preferred
