Risk Management Development Program 2026
Citizens is developing the next generation of leaders through its Risk Management Development Program (RMDP), aimed at cultivating talented young professionals aspiring to be future leaders. Participants will gain foundational skills in financial, credit, risk, and statistical analysis through a combination of training and business rotations, ultimately preparing them for a career in risk management.

Responsibilities
Gain a strong understanding of the Risk Management function at Citizens
Complete four 6-month rotations within risk management functional areas: Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, and Risk Modeling
Collaborate on a Capstone project during the second year of the program
Build a captivating presentation of findings to the Risk senior leadership team
Participate in Early Career Development Programming (ECDP)
Engage in formal orientation, professional development workshops, networking opportunities, community service activities, and strategic challenges
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant major that demonstrates critical thinking skills such as Finance, Economics, Accounting, Decision Sciences, Risk Management, History, Philosophy, etc
Expected graduation date of May 2026
Minimum GPA of 3.00 required (3.50 preferred)
Knowledge of relational databases and exposure to a statistical software (i.e. SAS, Stata, R, SPSS, or MATLAB) required
Experience with Generative AI Products and concepts
Natural curiosity and ability to use both reasoning and technology to create solutions to complex topics
Basic knowledge of compliance and implications of regulatory frameworks as well as U.S. and International accounting standards is beneficial

Candidates must currently be a U.S. Resident to be eligible for this program
Please note that U.S. Immigration sponsorship or work visa is not available for intern / full time positions and candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S

Internship or other relevant corporate exposure in the financial services industry is preferred
