Group Director of Professional Development and Education

Responsibilities

Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the functions of the Professional Development & Education Department, TB Mask Fit Testing and Library across the Central Valley Market
Providing education and training program support for ancillary departments and the total education program for the Nursing Division
Overseeing orientation, in-service, continuing education and consultation, HealthStream administration, and staff required certifications (BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, PALS, etc.)
Managing new products training, critical care internship program, ETP Grant administration, and oversight of TB Mask Fit testing annual compliance
Coordinating Library support and Medical Staff publication requirements
Collecting needs assessment information from various resources to inform program development
Overseeing the activities of the Professional Development Educators
Ensuring compliance with clinical and administrative requirements, Board of Register Nurses (BRN) guidelines, and accreditation/licensure standards
Providing educational oversight for all standards/regulations in regards to TJC, CMS, CDPH, and DHEC
Managing budget and staff responsibilities
Serving as a resource person and liaison for facility associates and the community

Required

Bachelor's Degree (±16 years)
Broad knowledge of clinical and administrative requirements
Knowledge of Board of Register Nurses (BRN) guidelines
Knowledge of accreditation/licensure standards
Educational oversight for all standards/regulations in regards to TJC, CMS, CDPH, and DHEC
Experience in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating functions of a Professional Development & Education Department
Experience in education and training program support for ancillary departments
Experience in total education program for the Nursing Division including orientation, in-service, continuing education, and consultation
Experience with HealthStream administration
Experience with staff required certifications (BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, PALS, etc.)
Experience in new products training
Experience in critical care internship program
Experience in ETP Grant administration
Experience in oversight of TB Mask Fit testing annual compliance
Experience in coordination of Library support and Medical Staff publication requirements
Ability to collect needs assessment information from a variety of resources
Responsibility for budget and managing staff
Ability to serve as a resource person and liaison for facility associates and the community
