Responsibilities
Develop and champion a roadmap for evolving the County’s enterprise infrastructure architecture from its current state to a future-forward vision
Coordinate and oversee solution architecture implementation and modification activities to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
Lead the evaluation and selection of software and hardware standards, as well as the design of standard configurations for enterprise systems
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure systems align with architectural plans and adjust strategies as needed to support project goals
Provide expert guidance on technical architecture projects, especially those involving new or shared infrastructure solutions
Partner closely with the Enterprise Architecture Program and Information Security Program to ensure alignment between strategy, delivery, and security requirements
Qualification
Required
Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a field directly related to their operating division's subject matter
Have had at least five (5) years of full-time work experience in enterprise-scale architecture/engineering involving cloud/platform modernization, network/compute/storage strategy, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and observability/ Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) work
