Responsibilities

Support projects from an electrical perspective as part of a multi-discipline team; lead when applicable based on experience

Ability to coordinate the electrical design within multi-discipline teams

Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective solutions

Assemble and manage bid, approval, and construction issue electrical packages in an efficient and lean manner

Check other electrical engineers work for accuracy and quality; undertake peer reviews

Interact independently and professionally with clients, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel

Attend and participate in client and PM Group meetings

Participate in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off electrical installations

Create and work in electrical Revit models

Other special projects as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

7+ Years of formal experience in industrial engineering design (Life Science experience is relevant)

Professional Engineering (PE) License, or a committed path to licensure, is required

Proven experience delivering the complete suite of electrical engineering design services, which may include, but are not limited to: Power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, small power, voice / data, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, grounding & bonding, hazardous areas and specialist control systems

Writing narratives that describe the electrical and special system to include user requirements specifications and sequences of operation

Selection of electrical devices for power, lighting, and other special systems

Developing single line diagrams that depict electrical power systems for a high level

Working knowledge carrying out short circuit calculations, load flow and coordination studies utilizing proprietary modelling software (SKM) is preferred

Advanced knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices

Commercial awareness with the ability to undertake value engineering activities, implement new technologies and, where they are implemented, provide cost effective solutions for PM Group clients

Experience working with AutoCAD and Revit

Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

Professional approach and demeanor - A principled and ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business

Knowledge of GMP Manufacturing environments is relevant

The ability to travel as needed for client and project development

Preferred
