General Office Clerk

Responsibilities

Maintains confidentiality regarding all agency records
Performs basic office duties
Gather, review, and calculate employees’ hours worked and enter in the Time Sheet at the end of the pay period. Review the Time Sheet with the Office manager for accuracy. Deliver Time Sheets to the Operations Manager on time to meet payroll deadlines
Be the primary contact to job applicants and explain agency services to potential clients, applicants, and the public by phone or personal contact
Be part of the interview, hiring, and training process for all new staff
Conduct new employee reference checks
Keep a 'standing list' of newly processed applicants that can be placed immediately as a shift vacancy occurs
Keep a 'standing list' of all staff who can be used as backup for all call-off situations
Oversee all current screenings, including, but not limited to, Criminal Background, FBI Checks, Driver’s License, Drug Screen, and Child Abuse Clearance for all new hires

Ability to manage routine office files, log books, and field staff schedules
