Define how the world sees Basis

Establish our voice and figure out the stories we’re uniquely positioned to tell

Craft a company narrative that stands out - especially to best-in-class ML/eng talent

Qualification

Required

Excellent writer: Crafts compelling narratives and writes extraordinarily well. Ideally has a corpus of public writing

First principles reasoner: Able to break complex technical problems down into fundamental components and communicate them clearly

Understands the zeitgeist: Knows what best-in-class engineers/technologists think, read, care about, etc. Likely active on X and/or Substack

Taste and judgment: Feels what resonates and what falls flat, can distinguish between authentic versus packaged messaging
