Responsibilities

SCADA Design (Schneider + Rockwell):
Schneider: AVEVA System Platform (InTouch OMI), Plant SCADA (Citect) and/or EcoStruxure™ SCADA—graphics, alarming, historian, reporting, redundant/distributed architectures
Rockwell: FactoryTalk View SE/ME, FactoryTalk Historian SE, Alarms & Events, Linx, AssetCentre—client/servers and clustered designs
Standards & Reuse: Implement tag models/UDTs, faceplates/widgets, graphics style guides, navigation, alarm philosophy, and libraries across campuses
Integration: BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, MQTT/Sparkplug B, SNMP; develop SQL schemas/queries for trends, analytics, and reporting. Coordinate PLC interfaces (Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix via Studio 5000; Schneider Modicon M340/M580 via EcoStruxure Control Expert)
IT/OT & Security: Apply VLAN segmentation, certificates/SSL/TLS, role-based access, server hardening/virtualization per customer standards and Thermo policies
Quality & Documentation: Produce URS/FRS/DDS, ITPs, FAT/SAT scripts, and turnover packages; follow Thermo’s QMS, participate in peer/code reviews
Commissioning Support: Provide remote L1–L3 support; assist site teams for L4/L5/IST as needed

Project Responsibilities
Coordinate interfaces with PLC, EPMS, networking, commissioning agent, and TAB teams; maintain realistic task plans. Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget
Understand the scope of work assigned to you, identify when issues arise that are beyond that scope, and communicate those issues to the assigned project lead
Lead individual project related tasks and/or small to mid-sized projects in their entirety
Take on the role of the customer’s main contact on those projects that the employee is assigned to lead
Communicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers and trade partners
Anticipates possible issues that may arise during a project and proactively plans solutions
Seeks opportunities for new work with customers and contractors
Delivers detailed feedback on project and task assignments
Demonstrates an understanding of project contracts and specifications
Ability to identify and manage risks
Supervisory Responsibilities
Where applicable, directs and oversees junior or subordinate staff members regarding construction, operations, and/or maintenance tasks and assignments at a project site

Required

Bachelor of Science; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience
5+ years in controls/SCADA/BMS with demonstrated delivery on multi-discipline projects
Practical experience implementing Schneider and/or Rockwell SCADA solutions (redundancy, distributed clients/servers, centralized standards)
Proficiency with Schneider SCADA (AVEVA System Platform/InTouch OMI, Plant SCADA/Citect, and/or EcoStruxure™ SCADA) and/or Rockwell SCADA (FactoryTalk View SE/ME, Historian SE, Alarms & Events, Linx, AssetCentre)
Strong SQL (queries, procedures, report datasets) and practical scripting (VBA/Cicode/ArchestrA/JS)
Solid controls fundamentals: P&IDs, wiring, sequences of operation, PLC/HMI interaction
Networking/cyber basics: VLANs, firewalls, certificates, Windows/Linux servers, virtualization
Quality mindset: rigorous documentation, gated reviews, and design validation
Composed under pressure; adaptable, collaborative, clear communicator
Builds relationships with customers
Shows initiative by seeking out new responsibilities
Anticipates possible issues that may arise during a project
Uses resources efficiently to complete project tasks

Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required
