2+ years expCity Light & Power, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to join their engineering team. This role involves coordinating construction projects from planning to close-out, ensuring deliverables meet scope and budget requirements.

Responsibilities
Assist with compiling and distributing reports on all project phases and financial performance
Cultivate and maintain effective relations with the Client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel
Support the Project Manager with developing the budget, schedule, and construction service plans for various elements of the project
Travel to the project site as needed to monitor project activities
Attend project meetings including pre-award, pre-construction, project progress and final close-out
Work closely with project management team to identify and allocate resources, including personnel and materials
Monitor progress, tracking timelines and construction activities according to schedule
Participate in and monitor the procurement process, cost control, and change management systems
Perform field inspections to verify quality and accuracy of construction
Uphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field highly preferred. Previous related work experience may substitute
Two-four (2-4) years of experience with industrial/commercial building construction, materials, systems, field work or similar is required
Detail oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
Organized, Problem-Solver with ability to multitask
Proficiency with MS Office, and other Microsoft Office products
Must have excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
You must be a US citizen
You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance
A valid driver's license required
Preferred
Previous experience with federal government contracting or federal construction activities is a plus
