NERC Compliance Engineer

The NERC Compliance Engineer will support the implementation of NERC compliance requirements for Generator Owners, ensuring that equipment settings meet standards and performing compliance-related analyses and reporting.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical subject matter expert for NERC compliance requirements
Support development and implementation of NERC compliance program and processes
Support development and implementation of internal controls
Compilation and delivery of compliance reports
Performance of compliance filings and submittals

Required

Familiarity with NERC Reliability Standards for IBRs
Understanding of protective relay settings
Familiarity with generator models (PSSE, PSCAD) and modeling requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and planning abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
Self-starter able to work independently without continuous oversight
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, Electrical Engineering preferred
2+ years experience in support of NERC Compliance as a technical subject matter expert with familiarity with PRC and/or MOD standards
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to occasionally travel to solar facilities or meetings
