Staff Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Play a key role in transitioning new products from design into full -scale or Low Rate production
Develop and release work instructions and routers
Design and implement jigs and fixtures for production and testing
Partner closely with design engineering, supply chain, and production teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and scalable product launches

Required

5 + years of industry experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Strong foundation in both mechanical and electrical engineering principles
Hands-on experience developing detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing routers
Proficiency in designing and building electrical/mechanical production and test jigs/fixtures
Demonstrated ability to support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Test) activities
Experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical assembly and test processes, resolving production issues quickly and effectively
Experience in setting up work area with high efficiency workflow for low and high-volume production
Strong communication skills to interface across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
Proficient with CAD tools (SolidWorks and Visio preferred)
Familiar with ERP/MRP systems for router and BOM management
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
It is an essential requirement for the person in this role to have a legal right to work in the United States and be eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization and DoD Clearance

Preferred

Prior experience with aerospace or defense manufacturing
Knowledge of IPC standards and aerospace/defense quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)
Familiarity with PCB assembly, harness builds, and electromechanical assemblies
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
Hands-on shop floor experience with prototype builds and process validation
Exposure to automation or semi-automation in assembly/test environments
