The Business Development Director will be responsible for managing new business opportunities, crafting proposals, and leading pitch teams to win new clients while overseeing the operational aspects of the business development process.

Responsibilities

Assist in fielding and vetting new prospect calls and emails

Conduct background research on prospective clients and agency competitors

Work with the Growth Hub team members to help determine winning strategy, team casting, and commercial approach for each prospect/pitch assigned

Lead the work with each pitch team to develop and refine the pitch deck content, coordinate leave-behind materials and any unique presentation/meeting needs

Assist editorial writer in creating and cataloguing new business content, such as helping to write and gather assets for case studies, agency reels and videos, RFI/RFP responses, etc

Work closely with public relations/communications personnel to ensure the agency story and voice carries through all public materials and lends to growth strategies

Coordinate with presentation designers to ensure the proper look and feel is developed for the materials associated with each pitch

Handle the operational intricacies and fast-moving nature of the process including setting up timelines, tracking the budget, communicating information to the team and managing the workflow

Manage Business Development Account Executive

Track and report new business wins and losses

Required

You've got at least 8+ years of experience in the ad industry and at least 2 in business development or you are a growth-minded account person with experience working on new business pitches

You know how to use Google Docs and Microsoft Office programs. (And Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, iMovie and Final Cut are major pluses)

You've got a Bachelor's degree — ideally in marketing, communications, advertising or related field

You're ready to roll up your sleeves and design beautiful solutions with some of the most driven people in the business
