Intern - Fisheries Management (Summer)
The State of South Dakota's Department of Game, Fish, and Parks is seeking an Intern for Fisheries Management during the summer session. The role involves assisting with fisheries management activities, including surveys and inspections, as well as equipment and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities
Assisting with fisheries management in the Black Hills and West River fisheries management areas
Annual standard fisheries surveys
Watercraft inspections
Angler use and harvest surveys
Assisting with equipment and grounds maintenance
Other additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
