Intern - Park Management (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is seeking interns for the Park Management position within the Department of Game, Fish & Parks. Interns will gain hands-on experience through various duties including customer service, maintenance tasks, and educating visitors about park rules.

Responsibilities
Learning the Point of Sale system and being able to troubleshoot problems for other employees
Customer service skills
Basic building and grounds maintenance including operation of power tools, riding mowers and chainsaws
Organizational and leadership skills
Educating visitors to park rules and enforce them as needed
Qualification
Required
APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
