Mid LevelThe Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office (ENTRO) is seeking an Individual Consultant for Preparation of Media Training materials and Conducting Training. The role involves facilitating a 2-day regional media training workshop aimed at enhancing the capacity of journalists from the Eastern Nile Basin countries to report on issues related to Nile Cooperation and water resources management.

Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance in facilitating a 2‐day regional media training workshop involving journalists from Egypt, Ethiopia, The Sudan, and South Sudan
Design a 2‐day training programme, including developing topics of discussion for the entire duration of the training workshop in consultation with ENTRO’s Social Environment and communication Unit
Develop a methodology on how the assignment will be conducted, finalized following feedback received from ENTRO
Facilitate discussions on Nile Cooperation and its role in water resources management and broader economic development between ENTRO water resources management experts and the journalists
Select best practices and examples of basin‐wide cooperation to be showcased during the training
Organize each day’s programme in a time‐efficient manner to ensure achievement of the two day’s objectives
Produce a report at the end of the training workshop summarizing the methodology and content developed and the outcomes of the training workshop with findings, conclusions, and recommendations for future trainings

ENTRO pioneered the internship program in the Nile Basin since 2011; Till now the number of interns reach to more than 180 interns who were enrolled in 18 different batches; 3 batches under Eastern Nile Planning Model (ENPM) project , 14 batches under Nile Cooperation for Results (NCORE) project and 1 batch under the Nile Cooperation for Climate Resilience (NCCR) project The main objective of the program is to support Eastern Nile cooperation by creating a knowledge community among young professionals to support the emergence of a shared understanding about the resource base – its potentials, the risks it is facing and its future.
