Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, replace, modify, install, calibrate, test, evaluate, and ensure air worthiness of all electrical/electronic (e.g. avionics, weather radar, navigation, autopilot, wiring, circuits, simple electronic devices, et al) equipment, parts, components, or systems on aircraft
Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, modification, installation, calibration, test, and evaluations on FIS aircraft electrical/electronic equipment to verify that it is installed properly and operates IAW all applicable FAA and OEM regulations, procedures, and instructions and works IAW design specifications
Use FAA standards to determine the airworthiness of aircraft under FIS aircraft mission-specific certificates to meet FIS missions on which the Contractor maintained, repaired, or modified electrical/electronic equipment
Take test readings of non-functioning electrical/electronic equipment using common instruments (e.g. digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, oscilloscopes, et al), or IAW all applicable FAA and OEM regulations, procedures, and instructions and analyze the results to determine maintenance and repair requirements
Troubleshoot electrical/electronic equipment, implement repair procedures, and replace inoperative electrical/electronic equipment. Maintain aircraft electrical/electronic equipment IAW all applicable FAA airworthiness regulations and technical aircraft maintenance publications and part manuals
Use tools (e.g. electronic testing equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, et al) IAW the OEM specifications and maintenance manuals to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, replace, modify, calibrate, test, and evaluate FIS aircraft electrical/electronic equipment in aircraft systems
Perform daily tool inventory IAW TI 4100.24 Section 3.16. Any tools which are discovered missing must be immediately reported IAW TI 4100.24 Section 3.16

Required

3-Years of demonstrated experience as an aircraft avionics technician for an FAA certified part 121, 135 or an FAA certified part 145 working repair station working on transport category aircraft
Must be a US citizen

Benefits

Health and welfare rate of $4.57 for each hour worked to be used for medical expenses/health benefits, any unused funds will roll over into a 401k at the end of the year.
