Structural Engineer P.E.
Unarco Material Handling is a company specializing in material handling storage systems. They are seeking a Structural Engineer to conduct structural analysis, collaborate with clients and manufacturing personnel, and ensure safe and code-compliant designs.

Responsibilities
Preparing structural calculations for existing and new storage systems
Reviewing detailed drawing sets for completeness and correctness
Maintaining a detailed record for assigned project tasks
Leading discussions with clients and other personnel to define project scopes, progress, and resolution
Assists in department discussions and decisions on engineering problems, best practices, and procedures
Acting in Responsible Charge of projects including, but not limited to, the sealing of drawings/calculations/letters
Maintaining continuous professional education within a Civil/Structural Engineering discipline
Qualification
Required
Effective verbal and written communication skills for leading discussions
A strong sense of professional and ethical responsibility
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Extensive knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
Thorough understanding of AISC 360, ASCE 7, and IBC required. Additional code familiarities preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, RISA3D, and Microsoft Office Suite or related software preferred
Bachelor's Degree from ABET accredited school in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering (Required), which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice
Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer Licensure required (P.E. / S.E.)
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Valid driver's licensure due to job site travel and walking for long periods of time
Preferred
Thorough understanding of AISC 360, ASCE 7, and IBC required. Additional code familiarities preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, RISA3D, and Microsoft Office Suite or related software preferred
