Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce parts according to specifications
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining operations
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments to machinery settings
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve technical issues
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies
Document production activities and maintain accurate records of machine settings and part specifications
Train and mentor junior machinists, providing guidance and support in developing their technical skills

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in machining or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist, with a focus on set-up operations

Experience in operating and setting up CNC machines and manual machining equipment
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in ensuring high-quality production
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting
Effective communication skills to liaise with engineering and production teams
