Field Application Engineer 现场应用工程师
PhotonIC Technologies is a company specializing in optical communication solutions, and they are seeking a Field Application Engineer to support customers in product design and troubleshooting. The role involves collaborating with various teams and promoting products to ensure successful project execution from opportunity to mass production.
Responsibilities
Support domestic and international optical communication customers in product design, design validation, silicon test and application with optical ICs such as high-speed TIA, laser driver and limiting amplifier, CDR, etc
Track project from new opportunity to mass production
Troubleshoot technical problems in both pre-sale and post-sale phases
Communicate across marketing, design team and testing team for technical issues and new product definition
Promote/train customers and distributors on the products
Collaborates closely with sales for design-in and design-win solutions with customers/distributors
Works closely with product Business Units for product support/promotion, feedback on market information, and alignment with the new product roadmap
Other tasks assigned by line manager
Qualification
Required
BSEE or MSEE, 5 years+ relevant working experience in IC lab test/AE/FAE
Deep knowledge in optical module, system and its application such as TOSA, ROSA, CWDM, AOC, PON, etc
Hands-on test and troubleshooting skills from silicon to product validation
Ability to program with Scripting languages (i.e. Python) and high-level languages (i.e. C/C or Visual Basic, etc.)
Able to work with test equipment (i.e. BERT, DCA, Oscilloscope, etc.)
Strong analytical and communication skills for efficient customer communication
Travel required ~ 30%
Preferred
Design experiences in optical front-end is a plus
