Infrastructure Engineer III –Data Science Administrator

Responsibilities
Oversee the Storage and Backups Solutions including Updates/Patches, maintain and improve the High-Performance Computing environment
Architect, deploy, and manage infrastructure solutions across virtualized environments, on-premises data centers, and cloud platforms
Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability
Oversee cloud migrations, hybrid cloud integrations, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices
Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards
Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency
Design and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Partner with software development, DevOps, and network teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot issues
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers
Analyze infrastructure usage and forecast future needs
Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures
Perform other tasks as assigned by IT Management
Work and will be available for after-hours support and projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience required
A minimum of 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure
Expertise in server operating systems and infrastructure technologies
Proficiency with hypervisor technologies, Hyper-V preferred
Expertise with enterprise storage and backup solutions, Pure and Rubrik experience preferred
Experience with Data Science and High Performance Computing environments (x86, GPU, Backup, Storage Architecture)
Ability to multitask and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in automation and system management tools
Experience with containerization and cloud platforms
Familiarity with network protocols, security, and system monitoring tools
Knowledge of scripting languages and cloud services offerings
Experience in an enterprise-level datacenter environment
Certificate management and deployments
Lifecycle management of data center resources
Patch management and threat vulnerability management
Preferred
Exposure to AI tools and infrastructure support for machine learning and data analytics
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred) and hybrid cloud infrastructure
