Responsibilities
Assist with proposal and design concepts
Work with 3rd party engineers to complete technical review
Secure building permits and interconnection approvals
Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to finalize terms and pricing
Assist with planning and managing logistics
Prepare and track project schedule to ensure timely completion
Provide technical support to contractors and suppliers for system installation
Commission and bring projects online
Maintain knowledge of applicable codes & standards and certifications in the industry
Qualification
Required
Must have hands-on technical experience with electrical systems
Should be eager to learn, self-motivated and collaborative
Bachelor's degree in engineering (ideally electrical) with 2+ years of experience
Capable of sizing solar, battery and HVAC systems
Understanding of solar, batteries, SCADA, hybrid inverters, heat pumps and hot water systems
Familiar with existing and upcoming electrical and mechanical codes and standards
Applicants must be currently living in Hawaii and have existing US work rights (sponsorship not available with this role)
