Responsibilities
Analyzing utility rate structures and updating the Cost of Services Analysis
Assisting in the completion of the AWWA Benchmarking Comparative Analysis
Using population, tourism and other economic metrics to prepare quarterly Economic Trend Analysis
Participating in the rate setting process that validates data for future financial planning, capital improvement program and annual operating budget
Understanding the operational components of Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Public or Business Administration or a related field
Four (4) years of full-time professional experience in accounting, budgeting or financial analysis, including one year of utility auditing, rate preparation, or rate analysis for a utility or a utility regulatory agency
Professional level experience that has provided skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two (2) years
Experience in a public agency setting and project or programmatic lead or supervisory experience is desirable
Attend meetings outside of normal working hours
Specified positions may be required to possess a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License at time of appointment
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation
Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination
Preferred
Experience in a public agency setting and project or programmatic lead or supervisory experience is desirable
