Responsibilities

Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies
Primarily responsible to provide a variety of process safety assessments, reviews, or evaluations for equipment, processes, or procedures at a client’s facility or remotely
Performing process safety assessments and evaluations to OSHA and PSM standards
Review and apply best practices and code requirements from a variety of standards and regulations (NFPA, Building & Fire Codes, OSHA, FM Global, etc.)
Communication with clients and consulting team in a timely, effective, and continuous manner
Follow-up on new opportunities and prepare quotations for prospective clients
Perform on team projects and independently on projects or tasks
Develop technical reports as required
Perform technical reviews for peers which could include marketing papers, presentations, reports, etc
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Required

BS (or Higher) in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Fire Protection) or other safety related field
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of process safety
Strong knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations (NFPA, Building & Fire Codes, OSHA, etc.)
Strong personal communications and leadership skills
Must be able to work well under pressure within a team environment
Must deliver reports and analysis documents within time-driven deadlines
Must be able to work in a variety of client locations, environments, and conditions
Must be able to accommodate working various shifts as client activities are scheduled
Must be able to withstand the rigors of extensive travel
Ability to move and conduct work with full range of motion
Ability to lift 25-50lbs (luggage)
Extended periods of computer-based work
Extended periods of standing

Preferred

EIT or Safety-related designation preferred (CSP, CFEI, CCPSC, PE, etc.)
Experience with Combustible Dust, Flammable, and/or other Hazardous Materials is preferred
Experience and strong knowledge in safety-related areas (PSM, RMP, combustible dust, chemical reaction hazards, flammable liquids/gases, etc.)
