The role involves using Bentley and AutoDesk software for railway design and drafting, collaborating with civil engineers, ensuring quality assurance, and training junior technicians.

Responsibilities

Railway Design and Drafting: Use Bentley and AutoDesk software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs and drafts for complex railway projects

Project Management: Collaborate with civil engineers and architects to ensure all project requirements are met and adhere to the established specifications and standards

Quality Assurance: Review and modify CAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and quality in line with civil engineering principles and railway design standards

Training and Leadership: Provide guidance and training to junior CAD Technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all design and drafting activities related to railway projects

Setting up and maintaining the common CAD/BIM environments used across our projects

Coordinating the work of draftsmen internally and with our subconsultants, ensuring consistency and quality

Streamlining workflows and data exchange to avoid rework and improve productivity
