Responsibilities

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of clerical, technical, and patient related duties according to established protocols
The Radiology Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting members of the Radiology team and providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams/procedures and patient transporting
May be assigned to work in a variety of imaging sections, assist multiple radiology modalities and /or clinical services per operational needs
Performs related duties as required

Qualification

Healthcare Provider (BLS)Medical knowledgeClinical experienceBasic computer knowledgeMedical terminology

Required

High School graduate or equivalent required
Basic computer knowledge required
Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification required upon hire or during orientation to department

Preferred

Medical knowledge and terminology preferred
One (1) year clinical experience preferred
