Responsibilities

Provides exceptional customer service to patients and visitors as the first point of contact in the Radiology Department
Schedules appointments and verifies insurance for all radiology patients
Performs clerical and receptionist functions in the Radiology Department
Preparation and maintenance of patient records
Serving as a resource to medical staff regarding hospital protocols
Link between staff, patients, families, and care providers
Link between the unit and other hospital departments

Qualification

Customer serviceScheduling appointmentsClerical experienceEpic EMR experienceHealthcare degreeAmbulatory care experienceRadiologic appointment scheduling

Required

One year of clerical, scheduling, and/or customer service experience

Preferred

Degree in a healthcare field
Experience scheduling radiologic appointments for various modalities including CT, Ultrasound, DEXA, and General Diagnostics
Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting
One year of Epic electronic medical record system experience
