Responsibilities
Drafting pleadings, motions, depositions, and briefs
Appearing in New York courts (no out-of-state appearances required)
Managing cases through all stages of litigation
Developing and executing cost-effective litigation strategies
Organizing and tracking case status, managing calendars, and handling client matters
Zealously representing clients in divorce, custody, child support, and related matters in Supreme Court, Family Court, and concurrent proceedings
Qualification
Required
5–10 years of matrimonial/family law experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with clients, court staff, adversaries, and witnesses
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and organizational skills
Knowledge of New York Supreme Court and Family Court procedures
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York State Bar
Excellent legal writing and advocacy skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to prioritize effectively and work under pressure
A collaborative, client-focused mindset
Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
