Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting and repair of equipment utilizing technical manuals, cloud-based software, and technical phone support
Responsible for the Preventive and General maintenance of all identified machines in assigned plants
Work with and receive direction from Lead Technicians and Technicians
Locate, order, or manufacture parts to repair equipment
Use lift trucks and other equipment to move, hook-up, and level machines
Utilize basic computer skills. i.e. word, excel, outlook
Utilize CMMS system for machine repair documentation as needed
Maintain parts inventories in each plant
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S)
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Per 8 hr. shift (stand/walk 6 hrs., sit 2 hrs.), frequently (bend/stoop/twist, squat/kneel/crawl, reach below knee level), occasionally (climb, work with arms outstretched, work above chest level)
Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 40 lbs., occasionally from 41 to 50 lbs.)
Occasionally team lift or use a lift truck or hoist to lift items from 51-70 lbs
Must be able to talk, hear, see, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation with both hands, and use feet to operate foot pedals
Must be able to work in noisy environments that include exposure to indoor/outdoor temperatures, heat, weld flash, chemicals, fumes, bright lights, plant electrical voltages, dust, shavings, vibrations, grease, solvents, and oil
Must be able to safely drive company vehicles
Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic
Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes
Read and understand electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine prints and diagrams
Basic math (including fractions and decimals), basic understanding of PLC Logics, basic computer knowledge, remember, reason, analyze, problem solve, and troubleshoot
Maintain a valid driver's license
Must be able to effectively communicate with other technicians and plant personnel
Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
Must be able to multi-task
Gather/Analyze information and determine the best course of action
Use independent judgement to devise work methods according to general directives, policies, or existing procedures
