Intern Project Planner
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Intern Project Planner for Summer, 2026. The role involves developing project plans, coordinating meetings, and assisting in the execution of development projects under close supervision.

Responsibilities
Develop skills and knowledge in a real-world manufacturing environment
Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced production planning professionals
Assist Planning manager and team with Planning, analysis and other procedural improvements
Participate in the execution of development projects
Support the development and integration of documentation processes to ensure consistency and accuracy within the department and the organization
Participate in providing project status updates as required
Assist in developing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Coordinate meetings and facilitate effective communication among project team members
Prepare or file documents related to the project
Collect and collate data to track performance
Conduct research and assist in preparing written documents
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Junior or Senior standing or enrolled in a Master's program
Must be available to work 40 hours per week onsite
Current Engineering or Business student at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December, 2026 and December, 2027
Analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
