Associate Attorney Internship

Aldridge Pite, LLP is a multi-state law firm focused on leveraging technology for legal services. They are seeking a Hawaii Foreclosure / Litigation Intern to manage cases primarily involving residential real estate litigation and judicial foreclosure actions, with the opportunity to transition into an Associate Attorney role.

Law Enforcement

Responsibilities

Manage cases from inception to completion
Prepare analysis of case and advise client regarding strategies
Draft court pleadings, defense of motions
Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person
Other duties and special projects as needed

Required

Juris Doctor
Bar passage not required - can be planning to take the Hawaii Bar
One year of experience in the practice of law, preferably litigation, real estate or mortgage law preferred but not required
Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Must have the ability to interpret client systems
Must be proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
Ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads
Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance
Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and takes action
Demonstrates commitment to the Firm's vision, mission and core values
Analytical and detail oriented, while working at a face pace and capable of multi-tasking
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary
Overall good work ethic and willingness to adapt to change

Preferred

One year of experience in the practice of law, preferably litigation, real estate or mortgage law preferred but not required
