Responsibilities
Own the design and development of next generation structures, mechanisms, and electromechanical hardware
Perform hand calculations and to develop, assess, and optimize designs
Perform computational analysis on complex designs exposed to harsh conditions, both environmental and dynamic
Rapidly iterate on manufacturing processes and development testing in a fast-paced environment
Lead design reviews internally and externally with suppliers and customers
Negotiate complex trade studies to optimize for cost, schedule, safety, and performance, among other considerations
Exemplify technical excellence and be accountable for your work
Qualification
Required
5+ years in Mechanical Design role experience in Aerospace and Defense industry
Bachelor's in aerospace or mechanical engineering
High proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo/ProE, NX, or Catia
2+ years using computational analysis such as Ansys
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
Involvement in a professional engineering society or collegiate design project
