Responsibilities

Develop and deploy the next generation of strategic military satellite communications capabilities

Assist the government as the lead systems integrator ensuring the space, ground, and crypto segments are integrated successfully to meet user’s needs

Provide direct support to the chief engineer and manage the Booz Allen engineering team supporting the program office

Identify, analyze, and propose program risks, issues, and opportunities and managing handling plans

Effectively communicate, work independently and collaboratively on a cross-functional team, and demonstrate initiative to complete complex tasks to achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment

Required

12+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration in DoD satellite systems or ground systems

5+ years of experience with space system and DoD program reviews, including SRR, SDR and SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, PCA

2+ years of experience performing the risk management process on space-related ground, software, or hardware system Major Defense Acquisition Programs

Experience identifying, analyzing, and proposing program risks, issues, and opportunities and managing handling plans

Experience using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Experience using a Model-Based Systems Engineering or Digital Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines

Ability to be highly motivated, display a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission

Ability to effectively communicate, work independently and collaboratively on a cross-functional team, and demonstrate initiative to complete complex tasks to achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment

Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
