Responsibilities
Designs a complete project or component of a project
Formulates and solves problems. Designs and conducts analysis and interprets data
Assigns, reviews and evaluates work for technical accuracy
Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work
Supervises staff necessary to complete assignments
Provides direct supervision and mentors junior staff
Adheres to corporate quality control standards within the discipline
Participate in proposals for new project pursuits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
P.E. License in NY
3+ years of experience in bridge and transportation structures design, and rehabilitation including long-span bridges, highway bridges, retaining walls, and subway structures
Knowledge of AASHTO design methods, standards, and specifications
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
P.E. License in NJ is a plus
Bridge inspection experience is welcome
Design Build Experience
Experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ, MTA (B&T, NYCT, MNR, LIRR), strong preference given to local experience
