Responsibilities

Soliciting applications for a 9-month 100% appointed tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering
Demonstrating interdisciplinary synergy with existing research strengths on campus and promoting a collaborative atmosphere
Developing in vitro models of key physiological systems involved in metabolic regulation
Developing imaging tools to evaluate cellular and tissue metabolism
Conducting metabolic engineering using gene editing tools
Developing and using computational or experimental high content screening systems to understand metabolic dysregulation
Modeling and simulating metabolic processes involved in disease

Qualification

Required

Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution of higher education, conferred by the start of employment
Research expertise in the thematic area of cell and tissue metabolism; These include but are not limited to development of in vitro models of key physiological systems involved in metabolic regulation, development of imaging tools to evaluate cellular and tissue metabolism, metabolic engineering using gene editing tools, development and use of computational or experimental high content screening systems to understand metabolic dysregulation, and modeling and simulation of metabolic processes involved in disease
Sustainable record of scholarly research as demonstrated by the ability to publish in established national and international peer-reviewed journals
