Responsibilities
Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests across our systems and applications
Monitor system performance in staging and production environments, using metrics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
Partner with engineers to debug performance issues and implement fixes at the application, database, and infrastructure levels
Establish best practices for performance testing, monitoring, and tuning across the engineering org
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in performance engineering, SRE, or a related role
Experience analyzing system and application metrics using APM and observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
Solid understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and databases
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills — comfortable diving into code, logs, and system metrics to track down issues
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance testing into release processes
A builder's mindset — you like to experiment, move quickly, and improve things without waiting for red tape
