Responsibilities

Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
Performing part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming
Measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
Modifying incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure
Monitoring and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 4-years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar)
Perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: lifting over 25 pounds, working with chemicals, prolonged overhead work, climbing up and down ladders, prolonged kneeling, bending, or stooping, carrying tools, testing for and wearing a respirator, and working in awkward and/or confined spaces
DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access required to start, but not required to apply
Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc
Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
At least four years of experience working on aircrafts with a complete understanding of the detailed aspects of the job with practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered
Limited supervision with few instructions for routine work and general instructions on new activities or special assignments
May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower-level employees

Preferred

Active DoD Secret level security clearance
A&P License
Previous composite, manufacturing, or production experience
Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures
