Charging Systems Lead

Responsibilities

Responsible for management the full product life cycle with focus on performance, certifications, reliability and maintainability
Lead the product development phase, including the definition and introduction of new products. Feasibility studies, benchmark, partnership as a basis for technology projects, certification and future platforms
Drive architecture development
Develop technical strategy for standards including software, electrical hardware, communication protocols, cooling solutions, mechanical solutions
Drives the definition process, requirements and specification for the next generation of products
Guide the team’s work by identifying key goals and deliverables with execution
Collaborate with other ESPS teams and aircraft teams to ensure a successful charger integration
Lead safety analysis efforts focused on the charging
Coordinate and interface with partner, suppliers

Required

BS in an engineering discipline and 12+ years working in an engineering role
Minimum of 8 years' experience working with electric vehicle battery charging systems
Strong understanding of regulatory requirement, UL, ISO, IEC and industry standard related to automotive and eVTOL charging products
Experience with charging protocol
Experience with requirement management, safety analysis
Experience of hardware/software integration and validation
Experience of cooling system development and integration

Preferred

Experience with Electrical aviation charging standard
Aviation or Automotive industry experience
Experience with electrical powertrain systems
Knowledge of FAA, EASA regulation and guidance
