Responsibilities

Perform structural modeling, analysis, and design for bridges and other transportation infrastructure projects

Prepare detailed construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates, and calculation packages

Conduct quality reviews of engineering reports and construction documents

Support structural inspections, evaluations, and load capacity ratings

Review fabrication drawings and perform construction plan reviews

Assist in the preparation of proposals, qualifications packages, and project scoping

Provide project coordination support across disciplines and help manage deadlines and deliverables

Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers throughout all phases of a project

Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing team culture

Required

3–5+ years of experience in structural bridge and/or transportation design

B.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred)

EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months

Solid understanding of bridge design standards and structural engineering principles

Proficient in at least some structural analysis/design tools such as Mathcad, STAAD Pro, AASHTOWare, LARSA 4D, MDX, SP Column, MerlinDASH, etc

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented, organized, and effective in managing multiple tasks

Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team

Enthusiastic about mentoring others and contributing to team growth

Experience in project/task management

Preferred

PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months

B.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred)

Experience with model-based design and tools like: Bentley OpenBridge and OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Infraworks, or Inventor
