Reading Excellence and Development (READ) Western Kansas Ame
AmeriCorps is seeking members for the Reading Excellence and Development (READ) Western Kansas Program to train and support local Reading Partners and community program staff on literacy strategies. The role involves delivering trainings, providing follow-up support, and enhancing literacy instruction in rural western Kansas communities.

Responsibilities
Deliver 1.5-hour structured literacy training (one-hour in-person + 30-minute online module) to Reading Partners in assigned rural communities
Recruit and engage Reading Partners from schools, libraries, senior centers, youth organizations, and afterschool programs
Conduct outreach presentations to local partners and community stakeholders
Provide follow-up coaching and maintain communication with trained Reading Partners
Track participation, outcomes, and engagement metrics in a centralized database
Collaborate with FHSU staff and program leadership during monthly virtual meetings
Support community literacy efforts through education-focused service projects and events
Qualification
Required
Some college education
Minimum age of 18
Maximum age of 99
Ability to deliver structured literacy training
Skills in youth development

Ability to recruit and engage Reading Partners
