The role involves strong leadership in mechanical technical design, project coordination, and managing schedules and budgets while providing technical expertise and training to other personnel.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Mechanical Lead on a EPC power Project

Provide strong leadership to drive mechanical technical design and project coordination

Manage Project Schedules and Budgets as well as provide weekly reports to communicate project status, issues, and needs

Prepare and maintain resource plans

Prepare equipment inquiry/RFQ packages

Perform equipment technical bid evaluations and prepare recommendations

Review equipment vendor documents for compliance to project specifications and industry standards

Develop job notes and technical scopes of work

Perform field walk downs to collect information required to complete work

Prepare man-hour estimates for proposals

Attend Client, Vendor, and Internal Team meetings

Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement operating procedures, and resolve system malfunctions

Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications

Provide specific to discipline technical expertise to the degree of preparing and providing training for other personnel; both within the company and for the customer

May supervise, coordinate, and review work of a small staff of engineers or designers on assigned work

As a Licensed Professional Engineer, seals and signs all documentation produced by own work. May also seal and sign work done by engineers under direct supervision

Required

Bachelor's degree in a mechanical, or related engineering discipline

15+ minimum years of experience in the Power, Diversified, Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Oil and Energy, Chemical Industry

Strong background in heat exchangers, pumps, ASME pressure vessels, and ASME piping code

Experience in the specification Power Plant Equipment Including CTGs, STGs, HRSGs

Knowledge of the ASME Codes for pressure vessels and piping systems

Knowledge of EPC project execution model

Must maintain active status in a drug and/or alcohol testing consortium

Full and ongoing compliance with and adherence to all vaccination requirements, as may be established by the company from time to time or by or for a particular job site

Preferred

Licensed Professional Engineer

Experience as the Mechanical Lead on an EPC Combined Cycle Power Plant design
