Responsibilities
Adhere to established policies, procedures and care guidelines for quality service delivery and documentation
Provide health coaching primarily to college students, faculty, and staff through our Health Coaching service
Communicate using effective techniques to demonstrate empathy and support while paying attention to the diverse sociocultural backgrounds, needs, and values of the members we serve
Collaborate with members to develop SMART Goals and effective, sustainable behavior change strategies that address each members unique needs, strengths and barriers to change
Develop Health Coaching plans with members that meets their specific needs, supports their autonomy and their desire to progress towards their goals
Promptly and clearly document each encounter in TimelyCare’s Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Establish and maintain a professional rapport that fosters trust, respect, support and inclusivity
Use health coaching strategies that are evidence-based, unbiased, non-judgmental and member-centered
Understand the Health Coach scope and role in team based care and appropriately refer members as needed
Escalate and communicate any questions or concerns with TimelyCare personnel
Practice flexibility in navigating the needs of a growth stage start-up
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in health, psychology or related field
Current health coach certification by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching or the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc
3+ years experience providing health coaching services
Access to computer with webcam, phone and a reliable internet connection
Experience providing health coaching on the following topics: nutrition, physical activity, sleep improvement, time management and stress management
Preferred
Certification in Mental Health or Emotional Well-Being Coaching (e.g., Headspace Certificate in Mental Health Coaching, Wave Mental Health Coach Certification, California Wellness Coach Certification, etc.)
Master's degree-level coursework in a mental health field (e.g., Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Social Work)
Experience providing health coaching on the following topics: worries, sadness, body image concerns, relationship issues
Evening availability (6 - 10 CST)
Weekend availability (1-2 hours in afternoon/evening on the weekends)
